Water Quality CommitteeCommittee Members:Mike Lobue Committee Purpose: To monitor and protect the water quality of Leesville Lake and its watershed as well as monitor activities that could affect such water quality. Fiscal Year Objectives:
Water quality should be everyone's concern. To maintain and/or achieve quality water in our streams, rivers and lakes will take everyone's efforts. No one has a greater responsibility than the landowners near these bodies of water. The provisions of the Shoreline Management Plan reguarding vegetative buffers are important to maintaining water quality in Leesville Lake. Other measures like installing silt-fencing down hill from land desturbing activities is a must and implementation of proper drainage systems for storm runoff from development is imperitave.
