Beautification Day

The association sponsors a Beautification Day each year where, at various sites along the lake, there will be placed moderately heavy equipment and dumpsters for removal and disposal of debris. Generally, this event is scheduled for the 2^nd Saturday in June from 9 to 3.

It’s that time of year again! The Leesville Lake Association Annual Beautification Day! This year it will be Saturday, June 8^th, 2024 from 9 until 3. We will have four drop off locations around the lake this year, they are:

Leesville Lake Marina     Runaway Bay     Tri-County Marina     Brumfield area / AEP
“Brumfield area AEP” will be the AEP barge. Boats signed up for that area will be informed where the barge will be.

To have another successful Beautification Day we need plenty of help. Please pick one of the drop off locations above.

If you plan to use your boat, collect debris and bring it or tow it to that location where it will be unloaded and transported to dumpsters for disposal. We will provide tarps at each location for you to put down to protect your boat if needed. We suggest between 3-4 people per boat for the best ability to collect debris. If you are planning to use your boat and need extra hands, please note that on this sign-up form. If you are wanting to go out on a boat and help, please note that on this form also. We need 4-5 boats working each location.

For the folks working on shore at the drop off locations, we will need a couple of chainsaws to deal with large debris. If we can get between 4- 8 people per drop off location that would be wonderful, more are welcome and appreciated ☺.

We will do our best to deliver your free Annual Beautification Day T-Shirts to your working location but if for some reason that doesn’t work out, we will plan to have your t-shirts at the Beautification Day Appreciation and Annual Picnic in July at the Leesville Lake Marina.
